Welcome to the BTCC website

As you are all aware there has been a recent influx of several Bullies into rescue and many have needed Vet care. Unfortunately, this has greatly depleted our Rescue Fund and we are in desperate need of funds to continue to help Mari-Lou with the rescue and re-homing of these wonderful animals.
We are currently trying to put together Fund Raising Events to raise money for the Club and Rescue and would greatly appreciate anything you are able to do by either participating in the event or very generously donating money if you arenąt able to be there. Rescue is a very important part of your Club and the reality is that most Bullies surrendered to rescue are in need of some sort of medical attention and that requires funds. This is an ongoing issue. Unfortunately, the fund raising events are local to the central Ontario area mainly due to the fact that that is where the Executive is and we are typically the ones organizing the events. I realize that this makes it impossible for some more distant members to actively participate so I would like to encourage you to take the time to arrange a fund raiser in your area. Perhaps there are other Bully people close to you that would also like to participate. The only way to help is either by participation or donation. Please choose one to help Bullies in need.

Please help the BTCC by making a donation today!

Message from our President:

Thank you for stopping by to visit our club website. First, a little history of the BTCC.
The club was originally founded in 1969 and then referred to as The Bull Terrier Club of Ontario. In 1971 with the approval of the Canadian Kennel Club; the clubs name would change to the Bull Terrier Club of Canada. The original founders and executive of the club were Hilda Anderson, Bob Cole, Gail Gordon, Mel Gordon, Roy McGann, Halina Molyneux,  Joan Davidson and 1st President, Paul Wettlaufer.
The BTCC has strong ties to the Bull Terrier Club of America, BTCA; and is considered a "regional" club of the BTCA. The Canadian's have hosted the very prestigious "Silverwood Trophy" competition  3 times since it's inception in 1970. The Silverwood has been to Barrie, Ontario 1976 (and consequently  won by a Canadian dog, Ch. Magor the Marquis ROM), 1986 hosted by the BTCC Alberta division in Calgary which was won by Canadian bitch, Ch Rambunctious Sea Spray ROM and in 1995 this event was hosted by the BC division of the BTCC in Vancouver, BC.
The club has a booth at about 3 pet events each year to raise awareness of the breed. We currently are involved in the All About Pets Show and maintain a booth annually at this show. The Club also has it's annual specialty and booster show's in conjunction with local kennel clubs. Every June the club hosts a fund raising picnic which is a lot of fun and a great chance to make friends with many dogs and their owner's. Make sure to check out the website's galleries for pictures of this and other club event's over the last few years.
The club currently is comprised of 3 regional organizations in British Columbia, Alberta and Eastern Canada.
We hope you find this site both informative and useful!
